 Cañas Island, is one of the most attractive place to visit in the Azuero Penisula. It located in Tonosi district between Bucaro and Cañas river.  It is a Wildlife Refuge in Panama, its surfaces about 254 km² of protected area. It´s main attractive represents, the nest of more than 10,000 turtles between September to December. In fact, the turtle watching is follow by tourist people around the world.

The tourists like to do many different activities. One of the most popular are take pictures of the turtles and the baby turtles when they are hatching. On the other hand, the tourists record videos of the palm trees and the turtle hatching.
 The island offers to the visitors, nice cabins to stay on the island, so people can spend their vacations without any stress. In conclusion, Caña Island is still being one of the most visited touristic places in the Azuero Peninsula.
